Library Assistant, Part-time, Griffin Free Public Library, Auburn

Griffin Free Public Library seeks an enthusiastic, flexible, customer service oriented person to join our team.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Checking out books.
  • Taking and processing interlibrary loan requests from patrons and other libraries.
  • Helping patrons locate materials and use online resources.
  • Assist patrons to use equipment including the copier and public computer.
  • Opening and closing the library.
  • Shelving books.
  • Answering the phone.
The part-time position is for Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. with opportunities to sub for others.  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must have proficient computer skills, excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, possess a friendly professional demeanor and enjoy working with patrons of all ages. College degree and prior library experience is preferred.

The University of New Hampshire Library seeks a Multimedia and Course Reserves Manager.  Under the general direction of the Library Senior Manager, this position is responsible for Multimedia services and Course Reserves operations and will exercise independent judgment to improve workflow and operations, unify services and make autonomous decisions regarding policies and procedures. This is a full time, temporary (one year) appointment. The incumbent is a member of the Circulation Department management team and shares responsibility for the department; while it will be rare, there may be times when weekend and evening work will be required as needed.
