Job Description:
PRIMARY DUTIES
Full time 40-hour position in the Information Services department, includes regular evening and weekend hours. The responsibilities for this position include direct customer service at our Information Services desk, collection development, technology instruction, and providing one on one computer help to customers. The person in this position may participate in community engagement opportunities.
Minimum requirements (training, skills, education, experience):
MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS
Master’s Degree in Library Science and 1 year of work experience in a public library setting is required. Experience using Microsoft Office software and online research tools and databases is required. Knowledge of and experience using library eBook and streaming apps is required. Experience using Symphony or similar ILS is required.
Applicant must have excellent communication skills and demonstrated aptitude for serving the public. Technology training experience is preferred. Fluency in a second language is a plus
Hiring Wage Range:
$49,709 – $57,000

Job Description:
PRIMARY DUTIES
Full-time 40-hour position in a busy public library includes up to one evening and weekends in rotation. Some Sunday shifts will be required. This position leads the information services team in providing and administering relevant, innovative and diverse reference services and emerging technology education. As a member of the senior staff they work collaboratively to create welcoming spaces, develop collections and provide access to information through a variety of channels in support of the library’s strategic goals. Engages with community partners to create connections and offer resources and learning opportunities to customers in a meaningful way. Responsible for department administration including personnel, policy development, data reporting, scheduling and customer suggestions or concerns. Provides direct customer service at the information desk and creates a culture of customer-centric service.
Minimum requirements (training, skills, education, experience):
MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of Master’s Degree from an ALA accredited institution and 5 years’ experience in a public library, including supervisory experience. Applicant must have seasoned
problem-solving skills, the ability to make independent decisions and strong interpersonal and communications skills. Ability to work as part of a team in a busy public library and interact with a diverse public in a welcoming and respectful way. Commitment to excellence in customer service and representing the library in a positive manner.
Experience in technology instruction and community engagement is preferred. Proficiency and experience with MS Office and demonstrated ability and interest in using computers, Internet, mobile and emerging technologies as it relates to resources for adults. Proficient Spanish language skills preferred.

SCHEDULE: Monday-Thursday 9AM – 12 PM, Saturday 9AM-5:30PM
Some Sundays 12:30-4:30 PM (Overtime)
STARTING SALARY: Not to Exceed $18.28 per hour

PRIMARY DUTIES
This part time position is responsible for enforcing the library’s code of conduct and maintaining a safe and welcoming atmosphere for staff and customers. This position acts as liaison with police and fire departments when needed. Duties include patrolling building and grounds, responding to emergencies, documenting incidents, opening and closing the facility, assisting in snow removal and maintenance duties, and providing general operations support when needed.
MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS
Applicant should have clearly demonstrated experience in working directly with members of the public, enforcing policies, communicating with a diverse population and handling disturbances and emergencies. An Associate’s degree and at least one year of experience in security or related social services experience OR a high school diploma and 3 years of related experience are required. Bilingual candidates strongly preferred.
