Salary: $56,000 annually
The Flint Memorial Library is looking for a self-driven, creative individual to become the Library Program Coordinator.
§ Responsible for selecting, organizing, delivering, and evaluating library events and programs for adult patrons, with occasional support for teen programming.
§ Identify the needs of homebound patrons and coordinate delivery to their place of residence.
§ Collaborate with other town departments and community organizations to promote library services and resources.
- Contribute to consistency of operations by assisting all service desks when needed.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in Library Science preferred; Bachelor’s degree in a field that aligns with position, e.g., communications, marketing is required. Minimum three years of library experience strongly desired; a relevant combination of education and experience may also be considered.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; knowledge of current and emerging library trends; a commitment to equitable library service; strong technology skills and knowledge of social media; desire to work independently and as part of a team; a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Hours per week include regular night and weekend shifts.
