Library Assistant - Part Time, Ogunquit Memorial Library, Ogunquit, ME

 Job Description:

The Ogunquit Memorial Library is seeking a friendly individual with excellent customer service skills to help patrons and visitors and to assist in the day-to-day running of the library. This position is for 12-18 hours, scheduled Friday and Saturday, with the potential of one other day. We offer flexibility in working hours, which include regularly scheduled

hours and substitute work. The Ogunquit Memorial Library is open 9 am - 12 pm and 2 - 5 pm, Tuesday through Saturday.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

The ideal candidate will have a kind, friendly personality needed for helping patrons and visitors, while being able to perform focused, independent work as required by most of our other Library projects.

 

Other requirements include:

-   a high level of computer skills

-   ability to multi-task and work efficiently and independently

-   learning and following library policies and procedures

-   great organizational skills and attention to detail

-   working well with library users of all ages and diverse backgrounds

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required, but a college degree or MLIS is preferred.

Hiring Wage: 

Salary: $18.00 per hour.
