Hours: Part-time, 20/wk
General Statement of Duties:
Performs simple, routine clerical and light manual work in the operation of a library; performs directly related work as required.
Examples of Essential Work:
- Returns library materials to their proper location in the library;
- Keeps library materials neat and in proper order;
- Secures specified books for readers or for use in making up collections;
- Assists library staff with special projects including document delivery, program set-up, reorganization and cleaning of library shelves, light typing, and a variety of other duties as needed;
- Completes minor mending of books and other reading material, as needed;
- Attaches date due pockets and security tags on books and other reading material;
- Provides needed information and demonstrations concerning how to perform certain work tasks to other employees in the same or similar class of positions; and more.
- Acceptable Experience and Training: Fourteen years of age or older; and
- Some experience in a library environment; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work.
$9.33/hr
