Schedule: Full-time permanent position, 40 hours per week, including weekends and evenings.
In This Role You Will:
Work to create a welcoming culture for children, teens, and families at the library.
Create and lead inclusive, age-appropriate programs for children and families with a focus on leading teen/tween programming.
Support the Youth Services team in collection development, especially teen/tween resources.
Assist patrons by recommending books, tools, databases, and other resources.
Assist in promoting the library through social media.
Participate in the school outreach program.
Perform daily circulation tasks and manage other assigned tasks.
Minimum requirements (training, skills, education, experience):
You Will Need To Have:
Knowledge of child development and experience working with children, teens, and their families.
Bachelor of Arts in a relevant field and an interest in pursuing library certifications (paralibrarianship, Master of Library and Information Science).
Customer service experience.
Strong technology and research skills.
Strong communication, writing, and speaking skills.
