Job: Library Director
Duties/Description: The Boylston Board of Library Trustees seeks an innovative and energetic Library Director to direct and manage all operations and activities of the Boylston Library. The Director oversees all library programs and services and is responsible for the efficiency and effectiveness of all library functions in accordance with the bylaws and policies established by the Board of Trustees. Responsible for all library staff, activities, and resources, the Director oversees the development and delivery of library programs and services to meet diverse community needs. The Director partners with the Library Trustees, the Friends of the Library, the Boylston Public Library Foundation, town government, and community groups to provide a community-centered, technologically-innovative library for the town of Boylston. Recommended Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Library Science; minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in public library work including supervisory experience. Working knowledge of the principles and practices of professional library work and the organization and management of library operations including administration, personnel, facilities, budgeting, and cost management. Thorough understanding of current library technologies and their applications. Knowledge and demonstrated experience in developing programs, managing staff, and developing and managing a budget.

Salary: $26.87-$36.21/hr with a competitive benefits package.
