Description: The Executive Committee of the Merrimack Valley Library Consortium seeks an active, energetic, people-focused, technologically savvy team leader with vision to guide the 36-member Merrimack Valley Public Library Consortium (MVLC) in northeastern (North Andover) Massachusetts.

Qualifications: MLS from an ALA-accredited institution, MBA-desirable, or equivalent training and experience. Strong knowledge of current and emerging library technology applications; experience with strategic planning, budgeting and grant writing. Significant experience with managing library operations, servers and networks including five to eight years in a management role with an automated library network, or equivalent experience. Flexibility, calm under pressure, ability to pivot is all highly valued.   

Duties: Overall responsibility for the planning, implementation, development, supervision and evaluation of all aspects of network services and operations; responsible for supervising and inspiring a team of 11 library professionals and coordinating relationships and communications between 36 libraries.

Reports to an Executive Committee.

Salary Range – $94,102 - $125,307 commensurate with experience.
