Head of Adult Services, Hall Memorial Library, Northfield, NH.

 

Job Description: Hall Memorial Library seeks a reliable and organized individual to manage Adult Services. This full-time role requires a hands-on approach to collection development, programming, and outreach.

  Responsibilities:

  •  Maintain and develop the adult collection, including purchasing, weeding, and managing donations.     
  • Plan, market, and execute library programs for adults and occasionally young adults.      
  • Provide efficient and courteous service at the Circulation Desk, including checkout, reference assistance, and technology support.    
  •  Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless service across all library departments.      
  • Stayup-to-date on library trends and best practices through professional development opportunities.     
  •  Perform other duties as assigned by the Library Director.

 Minimum requirements (training, skills, education, experience):

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (one year of experience per year of education).      
  • Library experience or transferable skills preferred.      
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong communication abilities.      
  • Proficiency in library technology and automated systems.      
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
