The Moultonborough Public Library seeks a community-oriented, outgoing, creative, and tech-savvy individual to serve as the library’s Youth Services Assistant. This is a part-time position (20-24 hours per week) and includes some evenings and Saturday hours.
The Youth Services Assistant works under the supervision of and collaborates with the Head of Youth Services to plan and conduct programs for children and teens, such as story times, summer reading programs, school visits and special interest programs. This individual works independently to create themed displays that feature library resources, design promotional materials for social media posts and monthly newsletters that highlight youth programs and services, and assist with the processing of new books and other materials. They will also make recommendations for material selections and provide reader’s advisory.
The salary range for this position is $16.00-$18.50 per hour.
