We’re looking for an energetic, friendly, and dependable Youth Services Library Aide to join our team at the Meredith Public Library! If you love working with kids from toddlers to teens, enjoy storytime giggles, and don’t mind getting a little glitter on your shoes, read on!
What You’ll Do:
• Assist in the Children’s Room during story times
• Assist with Young Adult programs as needed
• Help make events magical (and run smoothly!)
• Staff the circulation desk and provide top-notch customer service
• Shelve books and tackle other odd but essential library tasks
What We’re Looking For:
• Someone comfortable working with children from birth through age 18
• A friendly face who can handle the buzz of a busy day with patience and positivity
• Previous experience working with children in a library setting is a big plus!
The Nitty-Gritty:
• Pay: $18.40–$22.98/hour based on experience
• Schedule: 23 hours per week with at least one evening per week and one Saturday per month required
• Benefits: This is a part-time position with no benefits
