Research & Learning Librarian – STEM, Dartmouth Libraries, Hanover, NH

 We are looking for an engaged information professional to join our team of research & learning librarians supporting the Arts & Sciences at Dartmouth. The position will have primary responsibility for liaising with STEM disciplines including Earth Sciences, Environmental Studies, Mathematics, and Physics & Astronomy Departments. The position is a part of a group of four STEM librarians.

As a liaison librarian to academic departments, you will provide research support to undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and researchers; develop information literacy opportunities both within and outside the curriculum; and manage the library’s print and online collections in your subject areas. You will build and foster positive relationships with departmental faculty and staff, and work to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion goals through collections, programs, and services, in alignment with the goals of the institution and the broader Humanities community.

 Required Qualifications:
-ALA-accredited degree in library and/or information science, or a combination of an advanced subject or professional degree combined with experience.
-Two years of relevant postgraduate experience.
-Knowledge of and proficiency with key information resources in one or more of the sciences; knowledgeable about scientific research and publication practices.
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work flexibly and effectively in groups.
-Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and complete projects.
Demonstrated skill and enthusiasm for outreach and engagement.

Hiring range: $65,000- $81,200
