The Senior Research Data Science Specialist will coordinate, develop, and provide computational research project support with a focus on advanced computing environments and collaborations. This role will play a critical part in building and delivering a robust suite of research data and AI services and infrastructure across Dartmouth. The successful candidate will guide researchers of all levels in completing innovative and reproducible scholarship through expertise in data management, analysis, visualization, and dissemination. Collaborating with key stakeholders, the Sr. RDSS will help advance data-driven research and curricular initiatives across disciplines.
BA in computer science, engineering, quantitative or related field + 5-7 years experience, or; MA in a quantitative or related field + 3-5 years, or; PhD in a quantitative or related field
Demonstrated knowledge of programming/ scripting languages and analysis applications (e.g., R, Python, SAS, SPSS, STATA)
Willingness to learn new programming languages, statistical analysis tools or other relevant tools as needed
Experience preparing data for analysis, visualization, and other procedures
Demonstrated knowledge of data management, curation, and preservation principles and practices
