We are seeking a dedicated educator to lead library integration into the Undergraduate Medical Education (UME) program, representing the first four years of medical education culminating in the MD degree. The ideal candidate will use best practices in teaching, instructional design, and learning assessment to serve the evolving needs of our community.
While health sciences experience is preferred, our primary focus for this position is on teaching. We have a highly collaborative and supportive team, and are open to mentoring a librarian new to health sciences.
Required Qualifications:
ALA-accredited master’s degree in library and/or information science, or a combination of an advanced subject or professional degree (Master of Education, etc.) combined with relevant academic library experience.
At least 2 years of related experience.
Commitment to excellence in teaching both in-person and online, including familiarity with inclusive teaching and universal design best practices.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Educational background in the health or life sciences or two years of experience in an academic library.
