The Madbury Public Library is seeking a part-time Library Assistant (7 to 10 hours/week) with strong customer service and communications skills to cover a central service desk serving all ages.
Primary duties will include: assisting library users, checking materials in and out, shelving and straightening collections, helping to maintain an organized and welcoming library, and other tasks in support of successful operations, as needed.
The schedule will include late afternoon and early evenings on Mondays and Wednesdays, with occasional Saturday coverage.
Qualifications: High school diploma with one or more years of customer service experience; Bachelor’s degree and library experience preferred.
This position requires the ability to work well independently and as part of a team, technical proficiency, and an attention to detail.
Starting pay: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour
Benefits: This is a part-time position with no benefits.
