The Bedford Public Library seeks an enthusiastic, flexible, customer service oriented person to join our circulation team. The candidate will work in the adult circulation area and occasionally in the children's circulation area. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Answering the phone.
Checking out books.
Taking reserves and requests from patrons.
Helping patrons locate materials.
Shelving books and other materials.
Contributing to displays.
The part-time position is for 12-16 hours per week, including 1 evening per week and weekends in rotation with opportunities to substitute for others.

Tuesday 8:45 a.m. - 2:45 p.m. Tuesday 2:45 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Thursday 2:45 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Thursday 8:45 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.
Friday 12:45 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Friday 8:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.
2 weekend days per month:
Saturdays 9:45 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and
Sundays 12:45 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Sept.-May)
Minimum requirements (training, skills, education, experience):
Applicants must have proficient computer skills, excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, possess a friendly professional demeanor and enjoy working with the children and patrons of all ages, with a commitment to great customer service. College degree and prior library experience is preferred.

Hiring Wage Range:
$17.43 - $25.17 per hour
