Responsibilities:
Perform circulation functions, including checking materials in/out and organizing items for re-shelving.

Education/Experience: This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree and prior library work experience is preferred (or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities). Program or event planning experience is preferred. Experience working with children and/or adult services is a plus. 

Skills:  
Communicating clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.

Assisting patrons with various library services and operations.

Using a computer and standard library applications and platforms.

Sorting and categorizing library books and materials in standard order.

Making change in money.

Circulation Library Technician (Part-Time, 24 hours per week), Manchester City Library, Manchester, NH

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Provides circulation or technical services to library customers; performs directly related work as required.

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:
The principal function of an employee in this class is to provide excellent customer service to library customers in all circulation and/or technical services functions as described below. The work is performed under the supervision and direction of an assigned supervisor, but some leeway is granted for the exercise of independent judgement and initiative. This class is distinguished from the class of Library Page by the performance of some supervisory responsibilities. Ensures library equipment is in working order, including performing routine maintenance;
Provides input to Division Head regarding new training and circulation procedures as well as the creation of proposed policies for circulation division;
Coordinates work and answers questions with other employees involved in customer service delivery;
Requisitions supplies and materials for the division as requested;
Processes applications and related documents as necessary;
Completes of off-desk duties as assigned;
Refers reference inquiries to appropriate library locations or other resources as appropriate;
Processes materials on hold via ILS which includes pulling, processing, packing for transport and notification to library customers;
Perform the duties of a Library Page as necessary to provide timely and effective service to patrons;
Provides guidance and demonstrations to new employees in similar positions;
Keeps supervisors informed of work progress, issues, and potential solutions;

The Madbury Public Library Board of Trustees is seeking a new Library Director who is experienced, enthusiastic, innovative, and very public service oriented. Madbury, New Hampshire is a small town (population 1,918, total area 12.2 square miles) proud of its blend of rural charm, vibrant community, and commitment to education. Education, Training, and Experience:
An ALA accredited master’s degree in Library and Information Science is preferred, experience working in a library, ideally in a similar-sized community, mandatory.  Skills in personnel and financial management as well as effective communication are essential.  Candidates should be current with the latest technological resources, have a proven record of collaborative leadership, and be highly organized, innovative, and adept at fostering strong relationships with town departments, the Library Board, peers, employees, volunteers, patrons, and stakeholders.

The Manager of Library Licensing at SNHU provides leadership for the Shapiro Library's portfolio of licenses. You will oversee and perform our licensing and acquisition activities and negotiate favorable prices and terms of use for resources according to policy and strategic direction. You will collaborate with partners across the University to ensure library licenses represent the rights and obligations for our library and learners.
